  Aahvan 2008
 
 

               BIT had organized a technical event Aahvan’08 during 7-8 March, 2008 at Varnama Campus. It was inaugurated by Shri Bhupendrasingh Chudasma (Former Minister, Government of Gujarat). The function was graced by Dr. R. Sudarshana (Advisor, U N Regional Sea Programme, Kuwait) as President,. Dr. Niren Vyas (Professor, Ahila University, USA) and Shri V K Saxena (Director, Dholera Port & SEZ Ltd.) were Guests of Honour.



 

The celebration was witnessed by about 1500 persons. Aahvan’08 was comprise with events such as ROBOZONE, SOCCERX 2K8, Racing Bulls, NUCLEI, TURN-O-TEST, Hardwire 2.0, Code Wars, e- Funda, CREATO, Mock Campus, Quiz-O-Mania and MAGNETS. In addition, special lectures were also organized by experts from industries including Dr. Anil Kane (World Wind Energy Association), Dr. Srineth (ERDA), Dr. Madhu Mehta (Anjaleem Enterprise), Dr. A.P. Singh (Reliance Industries) and Mr. Denzil Lokes (Vimal Fire Group).









Honourable Chief Minister Shri Narendra   Modi had blessed the occasion with his  good wishes for the success of this  technical fiesta. Approximately one  thousand students from various colleges  of Gujarat as well as other states have  registered for the event. They were  competing by showing their capabilities in  various technical events.







 

Among the dignitaries present on  valedictory function were the Chief Guest  Prof. N. R. Dave (Edu. Advisor, Gujarat  Energy Research & Mgt. Institute) and  Guests of Honour from Industries Shri   Ramjibhai Patel (President, Surat  Diamond Association), Shri Kishor Virani  (Chairman, KARP Group of Companies  and Chairman, JERUZ Energy Pvt. Ltd.),   Shri Jatin Julundwala (Chief Advisor,   ADANI Group of Companies) and Shri   Mahendra R. Patel (C.E.O. – KEMROCK  Ind. & Exports Ltd.).
